Performing Arts Classes

Murrieta and Menifee Academy of Performing Arts offers students from the communities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and surrounding areas several performing arts classes to choose from. New students can pre-register for the class by contacting the school anytime during the 6 weeks leading up to the next performance block. If you'd like, you may sit in and view a class for 15 to 20 minutes to see if this is the class for you. Please call in advance! Class size is limited and we generally have waitlists year-round.

Drama Kids and Drama Teens

The Drama class includes short plays and skits, theater games, improvisation, and more. The Drama and Musical Theatre classes put on a show for family, friends, and the public every 3 months (~12 weeks). Performances generally include a supportive audience of family and friends who gather round to witness the hard work of the entire drama class!

The Drama class runs year round. A student may start this class at any point within the first 6 weeks of each performance block (see schedule below) and is committed to at least that one performance.

Musical Theatre Class

Students are introduced to musical theatre and the stage in an imaginative, non-threatening, creative manner. Students will participate in vocal activities and learn choreographed musical numbers. The Drama and Musical Theatre classes put on a show for family, friends, and the public every 3 months (~12 weeks). Performances generally include a supportive audience of family and friends who gather round to witness the hard work of the entire drama class!

Musical Theatre for Little Folks

Students ages 3 - 7 are introduced to musical theatre and the stage in an imaginative, non-threatening, creative manner. Students will participate in short vocal activities and learn choreographed musical numbers during 30-minute weekly classes, custom tailored for the young child. The Musical Theatre for Little Folks classes put on a show for family, friends, and the public every 3 months (~12 weeks). Performances generally include a supportive audience of family and friends who gather round to witness the hard work of the entire drama class!

The Musical Theatre for Little Folks class runs year round. A student may start this class at any point within the first 6 weeks of each performance block (see schedule below) and is committed to at least that one performance.

My daughter started vocal lessons here a few months ago with Denise and she loves it. She has developed so much technique in just a short amount of time. Denise has a strong passion for what she does and it shows in her teaching.

My daughter takes violin lessons here and loves it. Her instructor is kind and knowledgeable. They reply quickly to phone calls and emails. All staff is very nice.

We love this Academy! My children attend drama classes. My daughter also has private voice lessons and private lessons for music theory. All with ms. Regina. She is a wonderful teacher - nice and very talented at everything she does. Always makes everyone feel heard, comfortable and included. And she is funny! All office workers always have been friendly and helpful, creating a positive experience at all times. We have only experienced friendly atmosphere in group classes from being around other students. Everything is well organized here. My children have learned so much, I can really tell a big difference, even in short period of time. I definitely recommend to come and experience for yourself. They are always looking forward to the classes!

My daughter was so excited to start violin lessons. The studio was very helpful in getting her set up. The staff is very friendly to kids and adults. Her teacher is wonderful assessing her skills and making the lessons are relevant and fun all while learning. Great studio to partner with for your kids musical journey!

My daughter started guitar lessons not to long ago and likes it. First time playing an instrument, the place is small but it does have a few chairs you can wait. Or just wait in the car. I sat in for one lessons and I think 30 min isn’t enough time for anything after the note taking and set it up/breaking down. I do like the instructor he’s awesome, kind and informative.
