The Academy of Music and Arts, with campuses in Murrieta and Menifee, has been offering private music lessons for students as young as 5 on guitar, voice, piano, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass, ukulele, and more since 1990. Programs for group lessons, including piano, guitar, and vocal ensembles are also available for students of various ages, as are our community-staple Rock Bands. For the aspiring actors, we offer drama classes and musical theater classes. For children 2 through 7, we offer Music Fun Time, a nationally recognized music program for young beginners, backed by research from the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University.
Our Murrieta music lessons and arts school also offers multiple, low-pressure performances for our students. All of our Performing Arts Classes also have regular performances for family, friends, and the public.

With multiple DMA holders on faculty, along with teachers who hold Master's degrees from the world's most prestigious conservatories, our teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you achieve them. Beyond their qualifications, our teachers have warm personalities and teach the style of music you actually want to learn in your lesson.
All of our make-up classes are private lessons, not group classes like at other schools. You never lose the one-on-one attention you signed up for.
Instead of waiting in a music retail showroom, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional parent's lounge with Wi-Fi, magazines, and kids' books. Parents are also welcome to sit in on their child's lesson anytime they like, and parking is always free.
Every parent wants to know how their child is really progressing, and the best way to see it is a recital. Our recitals feature special guests, certificates, trophies, and the chance to share the joy of music with friends and family.
The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student is here on a month-to-month basis, with no long-term contracts. Need to pause? Feel free to do so at any time by just letting us know 30 days in advance - easy!
The Academy has been preparing students for auditions and exams, including ABRSM and the MTAC Certificate of Merit, since 1990. We boast a 100% pass rate, along with a 97% average score on the MTAC Certificate of Merit exams.
We are a Steinway-Certified Academy with a deep relationship with the Steinway Galleries of California. Our students often receive complimentary access to workshops, masterclasses, and special events held by Steinway Artists.
We are the only music school in the area to offer students access to practice space in addition to their lessons. If you do not have an instrument or a quiet space at home, use our practice rooms right here at the Academy.
Whether you are starting on violin, guitar, winds, piano, brass, or any other instrument, we have you covered with a large fleet of affordable rentals. Starting at just $29/month, you can rent a professional instrument to play and take home with you.

The Academy of Music and Performing Arts congratulates Rita Xiaoran Tang for earning a Bronze Award at the Brahms International Music Competition. Rita competed against students from multiple countries and was able to bring the trophy back home to the U.S.. Huge shoutout to Rita, her parents, and her amazing violin teacher, Mrs. Janet (celebrating 20+ years at the Murrieta & Menifee Academy of Music & Performing Arts).
