About the Camp Programs

Murrieta and Menifee Academy of Performing Arts offers students from the communities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and surrounding areas several camp options to choose from. We purposely keep camp sizes small with low teacher:student ratios to ensure children get individual attention during each and every day. As a result, space generally runs out several months before camp starts. If you miss the window, not to worry - we have a well-established waitlist system! To learn about each of our winter, spring, and summer camp programs, see the information below.

Winter & Summer Music & Art Camp

Over the course of a three-day camp session, students will work on a minimum of 5-6 projects in a variety of media, including watercolor, acrylic paint, sculpting, mixed media, music composition, instrument creation, and others. All sessions will have distinct and different projects, allowing students to enroll in multiple sessions, if desired. Absolutely no experience is necessary, as the camps are custom tailored to both - complete beginners, as well as children with previous experience. Scroll below to see the 2024 schedule!

Throughout the 3-day experience, students will be encouraged to unleash their creativity and truly dive into the intersection between art and music, which will be explored through the introduction of a variety of fun and rare instruments.

Final Product: Students will have a chance to participate in an optional and low-pressure Art Gallery Installation showcasing the work of all of the students for the enjoyment of our beautiful families, parents, and friends! Tickets to the Art Gallery are complimentary and students are welcome to bring in as many guests as they would like.

Theatre and Acting Camps

Camp Description: As part of a 3-day camp session, students will get to participate in a fun and engaging bootcamp teaching the basis of acting, theatre, drama, and stage presence. Throughout the fun adventure, students will get to bond with a variety of icebreaker activities, stage development and exploration exercises, and will come out from the program as more confident performers! Final Product: At the end of the camp session, students will present a short 5-10 minute comedic skit to friends and family! Yes, they learn this in just three days!

Summer Guitar 101 & Piano 101

Camp Description: The 6-week specialty summer course is a great way to determine the interest level of the student in either the guitar or the piano, and prepare the student for private instruction. The curriculum was honed by the Academy in-house over the last twenty years that the program has now run! Scroll below to see the 2024 schedule!

Final Product: At the end of the summer session, students will be able to play single melodies and have a strong grasp of either guitar or piano fundamentals.

My daughter started vocal lessons here a few months ago with Denise and she loves it. She has developed so much technique in just a short amount of time. Denise has a strong passion for what she does and it shows in her teaching.

My daughter takes violin lessons here and loves it. Her instructor is kind and knowledgeable. They reply quickly to phone calls and emails. All staff is very nice.

We love this Academy! My children attend drama classes. My daughter also has private voice lessons and private lessons for music theory. All with ms. Regina. She is a wonderful teacher - nice and very talented at everything she does. Always makes everyone feel heard, comfortable and included. And she is funny! All office workers always have been friendly and helpful, creating a positive experience at all times. We have only experienced friendly atmosphere in group classes from being around other students. Everything is well organized here. My children have learned so much, I can really tell a big difference, even in short period of time. I definitely recommend to come and experience for yourself. They are always looking forward to the classes!

My daughter was so excited to start violin lessons. The studio was very helpful in getting her set up. The staff is very friendly to kids and adults. Her teacher is wonderful assessing her skills and making the lessons are relevant and fun all while learning. Great studio to partner with for your kids musical journey!

My daughter started guitar lessons not to long ago and likes it. First time playing an instrument, the place is small but it does have a few chairs you can wait. Or just wait in the car. I sat in for one lessons and I think 30 min isn’t enough time for anything after the note taking and set it up/breaking down. I do like the instructor he’s awesome, kind and informative.
