Homeschool, Charter, and SDP Students

This means that, when authorized, the charter school pays the Academy directly for music lessons, performing arts classes, and/or fine art classes for your child. If you belong to another charter school and would like to take music lessons or performing arts classes with us through that school, have them contact us at (951) 698-9891.

Certain charter schools, such as Mission Vista Academy, will also cover students’ instrument rentals. To check if your charter school covers ancillary services and products, please ask our School Manager or your charter school educational facilitator!

We are also excited to be vendors with GT Independence FMS, Ace FMS, Ritz FMS, PPL FMS, and Mains'L. If you are working with another FMS or Charter School, just let us know and our office will create a partnership for your specific FMS or Charter School.

The Academy of Music is an authorized vendor of many charter schools and FMS organizations. Please see above for a list of schools and organizations we currently partner with. Please note, the above list may not encompass our full list of vendor contracts, as we are continuously adding new partners to support the families in our community.

1. Check out our Website!

Check our website to find the instrument or class that you would like to enroll in. All classes and programs offered at the academy are available to homeschool students.

2. Contact our Office!

Contact us at the Academy at 951-698-9891 to schedule your lessons so we have room for you as soon as the school authorizes the lessons. Many of our programs are on waitlists throughout the year, so promptness is critical!

3. Talk to your School Facilitator!

Talk to your child's school facilitator or course counselor and request them to authorizing purchase orders for the class you chose. Certain teachers may not be familiar with the PO process, and we can assist, if needed.

4. PO Authorization!

Your school will provide the music academy with a Purchase Order (PO) authorizing the lessons or classes. Charter students are responsible for Registration Fees ($30 for a single student or $50 for a family of 2+), as most charter schools will not cover them. Some schools will also cover your rentals!

5. Get Started with Lessons!

Once we receive the POs, the student can start his/her lessons and classes. Get ready to have an absolute blast at the Academy!

My daughter started vocal lessons here a few months ago with Denise and she loves it. She has developed so much technique in just a short amount of time. Denise has a strong passion for what she does and it shows in her teaching.

My daughter takes violin lessons here and loves it. Her instructor is kind and knowledgeable. They reply quickly to phone calls and emails. All staff is very nice.

We love this Academy! My children attend drama classes. My daughter also has private voice lessons and private lessons for music theory. All with ms. Regina. She is a wonderful teacher - nice and very talented at everything she does. Always makes everyone feel heard, comfortable and included. And she is funny! All office workers always have been friendly and helpful, creating a positive experience at all times. We have only experienced friendly atmosphere in group classes from being around other students. Everything is well organized here. My children have learned so much, I can really tell a big difference, even in short period of time. I definitely recommend to come and experience for yourself. They are always looking forward to the classes!

My daughter was so excited to start violin lessons. The studio was very helpful in getting her set up. The staff is very friendly to kids and adults. Her teacher is wonderful assessing her skills and making the lessons are relevant and fun all while learning. Great studio to partner with for your kids musical journey!

My daughter started guitar lessons not to long ago and likes it. First time playing an instrument, the place is small but it does have a few chairs you can wait. Or just wait in the car. I sat in for one lessons and I think 30 min isn’t enough time for anything after the note taking and set it up/breaking down. I do like the instructor he’s awesome, kind and informative.
