About the Academy’s Music Lessons

Murrieta Academy of Music offers both group and private music lessons to the communities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee, Wildomar, and the surrounding areas. We teach students from square-one beginners to very advanced.

For young beginners on Guitar or Piano we offer both private and group instruction. The groups are popular for students that enjoy peer interaction, and get motivation from learning in a group. The classes also allow the parents to be sure the child enjoys the instrument shows some dedication to practice before committing to private music instruction.

Private instruction is offered on all instruments, for kids and adults. Private music instruction is the most focused and speedy way to master the techniques of an instrument because of the individual attention. Another advantage to having private lessons is that you have a lot more flexibility with scheduling since group lessons may not be offered on a day or time that you are available.

Once you decide the learning style that is best suited for your situation, give us a call and we'll get you started. We offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour lessons for private lessons and 45 minute sessions for group lessons.

Our music teachers not only have the required education, but also perform professionally on the instruments that they teach. We also show extra patience for students that sometimes get overwhelmed, or have other learning needs.

About the Academy

The Academy of Music and Arts, with campuses in Murrieta and Menifee, has been offering private music lessons for students as young as 5 on guitar, voice, piano, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass, ukulele, and more since 1990. Programs for group lessons, including piano, guitar, and vocal ensembles are also available for students of various ages, as are our community-staple Rock Bands. For the aspiring actors, we offer drama classes and musical theater classes. For children 2 through 7 we now have Music Fun Time, a nationally recognized music program for young beginners, backed by research at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University.

Our Murrieta music and arts school also offers low-pressure performances for our private students to perform in if they wish. All of our Performing Arts Classes also have regular performances for family, friends, and the public.

My daughter started vocal lessons here a few months ago with Denise and she loves it. She has developed so much technique in just a short amount of time. Denise has a strong passion for what she does and it shows in her teaching.

My daughter takes violin lessons here and loves it. Her instructor is kind and knowledgeable. They reply quickly to phone calls and emails. All staff is very nice.

We love this Academy! My children attend drama classes. My daughter also has private voice lessons and private lessons for music theory. All with ms. Regina. She is a wonderful teacher - nice and very talented at everything she does. Always makes everyone feel heard, comfortable and included. And she is funny! All office workers always have been friendly and helpful, creating a positive experience at all times. We have only experienced friendly atmosphere in group classes from being around other students. Everything is well organized here. My children have learned so much, I can really tell a big difference, even in short period of time. I definitely recommend to come and experience for yourself. They are always looking forward to the classes!

My daughter was so excited to start violin lessons. The studio was very helpful in getting her set up. The staff is very friendly to kids and adults. Her teacher is wonderful assessing her skills and making the lessons are relevant and fun all while learning. Great studio to partner with for your kids musical journey!

My daughter started guitar lessons not to long ago and likes it. First time playing an instrument, the place is small but it does have a few chairs you can wait. Or just wait in the car. I sat in for one lessons and I think 30 min isn’t enough time for anything after the note taking and set it up/breaking down. I do like the instructor he’s awesome, kind and informative.
