Piano 101 (Piano Basics) is an introductory piano class designed with beginner students in mind. Spread out over the course of 12 weeks with engaging 45-minute weekly sessions, this course prepares students for private lessons while gauging their level of interest in piano.
It covers the fundamentals of piano, while also emphasizing developing beginning repertoire, technique, reading sheet music, and ear training.

This piano class is a playing-based approach to learning the keyboard. It is designed for students to get an introduction to and a fundamental understanding of piano while learning basic shapes and patterns. The proprietary curriculum was developed in-house by our experienced piano instructors, and has been honed over the course of the last 15 years that the class has been running. It was designed specifically with beginners in mind to not only provide an amazing introduction, but make students fall in love with piano and music. The Academy of Music and Arts, with campuses in Murrieta and Menifee, has been offering private music lessons for students as young as 5 on guitar, voice, piano, drums, strings, woodwinds, brass, ukulele, and more since 1990. Programs for group lessons, including piano, guitar, and vocal ensembles are also available for students of various ages, as are our community-staple Rock Bands. For the aspiring actors, we offer drama classes and musical theater classes. For children 2 through 7 we now have Music Fun Time, a nationally recognized music program for young beginners, backed by research at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University.
Our Murrieta music and arts school also offers low-pressure performances for our private students to perform in if they wish. All of our Performing Arts Classes also have regular performances for family, friends, and the public.
