The Murrieta Academy of Music and Performing Arts has been the leading provider of music lessons and community orchestral ensembles and choirs in the Murrieta, Menifee, Temecula, and Canyon Lake communities since 1990. Diamond Valley Philharmonic is open to woodwind, strings, percussion, and brass students and musicians of all ages.

This exciting new ensemble offers musicians of all ages the chance to come together and explore the beauty of collaborative performance. Whether you're a seasoned musician or just starting your musical journey, our community ensemble provides a supportive environment for growth as part of your musical journey.

In this dynamic program, musicians and students will work together under the guidance of the Academy's experienced conductor to develop their musicality, ensemble skills, and performance techniques. The curriculum focuses on:

  • Musical Technique: Refine your skills in your instrument or voice, with personalized guidance on technique, tone, and expression.
  • Ensemble Skills: Learn how to play or sing in harmony with others, develop timing, coordination, and learn to blend with a group for a cohesive sound.
  • Stage Presence: Gain confidence performing in front of an audience, learning to engage and communicate through music as a collective.
  • Repertoire: Explore a wide variety of music, from classical to contemporary, and discover how different genres and styles can be brought to life by the ensemble.
  • Musical Expression: Learn how to bring emotion and personality to your playing or singing, making every piece of music resonate with both you and your audience.

As an addition, the program will feature guest conductors and musicians from various genres, offering unique insights and inspiration to enhance your ensemble experience.

Exciting introduction to the world of orchestral music.
Learn what the difference is between a solo and collaborative musician.
Improve your technique, musical expression, and stage presence.
Participate in a variety of performances, recitals, and festivals.

One-And-A-Half-Hour Weekly Workshop

Please note, students enrolled in private lessons at the Murrieta & Menifee Academy of Music are eligible for discounted partial-scholarship spaces within the Community Ensemble, given space is available.

Our Art Program features weekly 80-min art classes, held on Saturday's from 10am - 11:20am

The program develops students' artistic skills in acrylic paint, oil pastels, drawing, and sketching. Space is limited. 

Our Christmas Caroling Choir is a seasonal Fall / Winter program. 

Following a 12-week session where students learn everyone's favorite Christmas Carols, the class performs at a local nursing home to spread the joy of Christmas to our elderly community members. 

Caroling Choir is limited to 10 students, and is typically on waitlist by September 30, 2025. If interested, please enroll early.
