Information for Charter School Students
The Academy of Music is an authorized vendor of Julian, Mountain Peak, Dehesa, River Springs, and Sky Mountain Charter Schools. If you belong to another homeschool and would like to take music lessons through that school, have them contact us at (951) 698-9891.
In order take lessons at the academy:
- Talk to the school facilitator or course counselor at the charter school about obtaining music or performing arts instruction.
- Your school will then provide the music academy with authorization for lessons.
- Once we receive authorization, the student can schedule his/her lessons or classes.
In the event that the charter school does not authorize payment for all 4 lessons in a month the student will be charged directly for the shortfall. The student will be notified if full authorization is not received.
Private Instruction: The Academy of Music currently offers private music instruction on acoustic and electric guitar, piano, voice, drums, bass guitar, saxophone, keyboard, clarinet, flute, piccolo, organ, violin, viola, ukulele, mandolin, trumpet, & trombone. We also offer private instruction in music theory, songwriting, performance coaching, and digital recording.
Yearly Registration Fee: (Not normally authorized by charter school)
Individual -- $30.00 Family ------ $50.00
Monthly Tuition Fees: (2008-2009): August to July
(4 private lessons / all instruments & voice / 1/2 hour per week).............$120.00/mo.
(4 group lessons / Guitar, Piano, or Drums / 45 min per week).................$ 70.00/mo.
